Europe Lab

With support from brilliant partners we are delighted to announce the launch of The Writers Lab in Europe. Continuing the success of the UK&I and US Labs, we’re bringing this virtual script development programme to women screenwriters who are over the age of 40 and based in Europe (including Ireland). UK based writers are not eligible to apply for TWL Europe (The Writers Lab UK 2022 edition announcing soon).

TWL seeks to fight sexism and ageism in film and TV. The Lab is open to submissions of both feature and pilot scripts of all genres, we will not be accepting short films or documentaries. Scripts must be submitted in English language. We are accepting partial translation (a minimum of 20 pages in English with additional 250 to 300 word synopsis in English). Some participating scripts may later be translated to the native language of the region.

Applicants will need good availability throughout April-November 2022 for this six month Lab.
